“WOOSAH” – Bri
I must admit that the past few weeks have been quite intense. I’ve had to look over my last blog and make sure that I was listening to myself when telling you to not stress and keep the faith.
This will officially be my LAST set of weekend classes of my graduate program. With everything going on with final presentations and campaigns, graduation and getting things ready for my trip to China, I have not been able to fully focus on ME (& trust me, “Bri” time is extremely important to me). I have not fallen off the band wagon, BUT I do not feel as though I have been fully holding up my end of the bargain in completely giving my body what it needs to be in “tip top shape.” So what am I going to do? DETOX!
Now, don’t be afraid. I have tried several detoxes and this is by far my most favorite, less painful and trust me it works! It’s the Dr. Oz 3 Day Detox. A while back, my friend, Ramona, and I (go figure!) went on a quest and tried it out for ourselves. Along the way, we were able to motivate and encourage several of our friends to try it as well! Even though it may not have been the most pleasurable experience of everyone’s lives, not one person had something terrible to say about it and everyone reaped results!
Unlike many detoxes, this is not some extreme crazy way to lose weight because although you are making “smoothie-like” drinks for your meals, they are packed with all the nutrients you need, plus a little more! Also, most of the ingredients are at your local food store or maybe at places like Whole Foods.
In the end, both Ramona and I lost 4 lbs. and 2 inches! Take in mind, our goal was NOT to lose weight and inches, but to cleanse ourselves both physically and mentally (trust me it will test you mentally as well) 🙂 I found it to be extremely relaxing in a sense.
Below is the actual chart of everything you will need from the grocery store. Plus you can click on the following link where I have actually provided you the pdf to print out for yourself. 3DayDetox
Remember, it’s not hard, but it’s not exactly easy either. I just have to remind myself that I am 3 days away from a healthier and happier Bri! I will be starting on Sunday. What about you?
MY CHOICE: Detox at least every six months. Make sure it’s nothing too extreme and is actually beneficial to my body.
YOUR CHALLENGE: Find a detox that suites YOU. Do the research, make sure it’s safe and good for your body and tell me how it goes!
