It’s official everyone. Mid-October I reached the portion of my certification program to begin seeing and coaching clients as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (call me ‘healthcoachbri‘ 🙂 ). It’s been an interesting journey to say the least. I am a little over 6 months into my program and my head is literally spinning from consuming so much information.
Not to mention I have not been 100% the last few months health wise, but no complaints here; all is well.
Throughout the program I have ultimately learned so much about myself and my overall health. We all have our own “health hiSTORY” and I have been able to recognize which areas of my health that I am strong and others that I have struggled with all of my life and still need help in as well. I have to remind myself…it’s the reason I started this blog in the first place. If you need a reminder, check out my very first blog post depicting a young teen Bri weighing around 200 lbs.
I wanted to help people realize that change is possible, but it’s not easy. And I realize that to this point in my life, I have often fought change, clinging onto an unhealthy past.
As a health coach, I strive to work with people to live a healthy and whole life– which will include a lot of change. It takes time, but we focus on balancing physical health, nutrition, career, relationships and spirituality. It’s based on bio-individuality, so not one thing works for everyone. I build relationships with my clients and get to know them. Then I help guide them to make better decisions that result in a healthier and whole life.
How do I plan to do this? I am glad you asked…
Why not team up with someone close to me that has a very similar desire to help others, but expresses it in a different way? My yogi sister, Ashley, of course! She is awesome at what she does; guiding people to a happier and healthier lifestyle through the practice of yoga– a true inspiration. Soon and very soon, we will be launching our bareSOUL yoga and wellness website (baresoulyoga.com) with more information about how you can get involved, so stay tuned!
Next month, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve that I hope to share with you all very soon as well. This is something that I have wanted for a while now and it’s time that I walk by faith and not in fear. Le’ go!!!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7
PSA: Although I have decided that at this time I will not officially be taking on any additional clients until late December 2015, if you are interested in receiving information about a free consultation with me to see how I can be of help to you in making healthy changes in your life, email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Love you all,
