Ever feel complacent? Maybe too complacent? Like, “what now?” It’s as if nothing is going wrong, but nothing is really going right in your eyes as well. You have no need to complain, but you know that God has more for you and that you need to take the time and explore what exactly that might be in your life. He talks to us daily, opening doors for us to walk through, sending people our way and directing our paths so that we might discover just that—our purpose and what he has for us.
In church this week, a guest pastor discussed viewing our lives through Christ’s eyes and not our own. This certainly hit home. If we look at situations in our life through our own eyes (dazed, confused and often clouded by worldly things and beliefs), they may look as if they will never get better or as if this is simply “the way things are supposed to be”–
BUT NO, if we look through God’s eyes, we can see our situations turning around for the better or becoming something more than what we could have ever imagined. That’s what I want to do…not just for now, but for the rest of my life.
I want to look at myself and my situations and see beautiful progress…I want to remember that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and I have the power within me to conquer any situation and come out with victory. What about you?
You ever heard the phrase “stop existing and start living?” Well, I think that it can apply to this as well. Let’s stop existing in a world that judges, criticizes and tells us no when God says yes. Let’s start living the life that God has predestined for us even before we were conceived in our mother’s womb. Powerful, huh…so I am going to ask you once more, “what now?”
